Acumatica Based ERP Package for Professional Services; Consumer and Light Business Services

Where can it be used?

The Acumatica Based ERP package can be used for all services since Acumatica ERP has a contract management application to manage service contracts, and to manage activities against that service contract. That activity can include a service item (work item aka non-stock item) and a stock item. A service item can consist of eg. a monthly subscription fee or membership fee. or the installation of cable TV, activation of a live video streaming account or a cell phone service or an advertisement or a scooter rental account. 

Acumatica ERP handles recurring services, automation schedule for eg. monthly invoicing of customer, automatic notification of payment and outstanding dues.

There are categories of services that consist of just a service (activate cable service, a live video streaming account, an insurance account, or of a service that require a one time installation of equipment such as digital signage.

The "Just a service" category will have companies such as:

  • Utility services

    • Water​ service

    • Electricity service

    • Gas service

    • Phone and VoIP service

    • Internet service

    • Live streaming services

    • ..

  • Insurance subscription (car, home, life, health insurance). Insurance policy is a sales/service order. Claims could be credit memos.

  • Financial planning service

  • Accounting, tax, auditing and advisory services

  • Laundry service

  • Linen/uniform catering

  • Scooter rental since set up of an account, and a payment is all that is required to use the scooter. To use  it, a mobile application is used to scan the QR on the scooter. If the account has enough money, the QR scan will unlock the scooter. A mobile application would have to be developed. 

 

The  "Service and an equipment installation" service category will have companies such as:

  • TV, Internet and phone service: this will require a one time installation of equipment  ​

  • ..

Services that involve equipment installation, and regular (quarterly, monthly,..) maintenance service can be handled by our ERP Package for Field Service. For the food service industry, we have an ERP package called Prime Food Service that has been developed by an Independent Software Vendor Nexvue.com. Our company works with them for the sale and implementation of that ERP. 

Services that involve rental or that are used for a certain period can be handled by our ERP Package for Rental Service.

This ERP Package could handle moving services, travel (air, limo, boat, bus. .. ) services although some customization would be required to account for the labor involved in those services. However the XRP development platform for the Acumatica ERP enables fast development of such customizations.

The customer contract management application enables you to do the following:

  • Create a contract item

  • Create a customer contract template depending on the service type

  • Create a customer contract using the customer contract template

  • Charging an activity against the customer contract
