You want to just get a feeling about what the features are of the Acumatica Cloud ERP solution. You are not interested so much in how to process transactions such as a sales order, purchase order, payments, .etc. You just want to play with the software, and you have no time to set up your own local server. You have to be a serious prospect. A prospect is serious when we had a first meeting to cover your general requirements and a general demo, and a second sales meeting to cover your specific needs and a specific demo. Commitment from both sides will put us on the road of success.

Do not use it for internal production purposes. We are monitoring abuse. Then you go through the Superfast Quick Pass steps as follows:

  1. Apply with us to access our Acumatica Exploration server that runs already the Acumatica ERP

    1. Contact us to sign up for access to our Acumatica Exploration Server, more specifically to the full Acumatica ERP software.

    2. You sign a trial agreement

    3. You will get an userid and password to access the software.

    1. Go to www.intercs.com , cloud solutions, Acumatica ERP Foundation and explore all the suites and modules
  3. Explore an Acumatica Based ERP Package from this site (intercs.com).
    1. Click on Home in the top menu, and select the ERP Package for your industry
    2. Explore the additional industry applications in the selected ERP Package
  4. Play with your Acumatica ERP software on our Acumatica Exploration Server
    1. Try to perform some transactions that you saw in the Acumatica suites and modules/workspaces.
    2. Perfom backups of your data by taking a snapshot. You can use those snapshots when you subscribe to the Acumatica ERP software.
    3. Once you subscribe to the Acumatica ERP software, you can install the Acumatica ERP software version and your snapshot on your own local server. Access to our Acumatica Exploration server will not be needed anymore.

Do not use it for internal production purposes. Acumatica is monitoring abuse. Our company can do all the steps listed below. for you. We will give you a quote.

Then you go through the Quick Pass steps as follows:

  1. Install the Acumatica ERP software to your local server

    1. Buy or use a server

      1. Your tower desktop/server should have at least 32 GB RAM, one cpu with 4 cores, 512 GB SSD, 1TB hard drive

        1. Examples of tower servers

          1. HP Elitedesk 800 G1 Desktop: 32 GB RAM, one CPU, one core, 1 TB SSD: about $440 on Amazon

          2. Dell T40 desktop tower: 32GB RAM, one CPU 4 cores, 1 TB HDD, No operating system. About $829 on Amazon

          3. Try www.xbyte.com for Dell servers

          4. Do not install on a laptop since you want other employees to access the Acumatica ERP software

          5. To enable http access from an HTML browser to your local server, you have to do the following:

            1. Get a static routable IP address

            2. In your router to which your LAN is connected, and which has NAT, do the following:

              1. Forward the static internal IP address of your local server (I assume that you set up a static internal IP address  eg. 192.168.1.100) in your local server/desktop) to the static routable IP address that you got from your ISP.

          6. Install Microsoft Windows 10 Pro software if needed. Download from here for $99. Assign a static internal IP address. Not DHCP.

          7. Install Microsoft Windows SQL Server 2019 Express. Free download from here. Check limitations.

            1. I recommend a local login userid and password for the SQL database. Eg. user: sa and password: .....

          8. System requirements:

2. Select the latest Acumatica ERP version, for instance 2020R, and click on it. This will bring you to the installation guide. By the way https://help.acumatica.com has all the admin and user guides.

3. Please read the system requirements for Acumatica ERP 2020R2.

  1. You have to satisfy those system requirement regarding ASP.Framework version and IIS settings,

  2. See Preparing for Installation as seen in step 2 screen capture. Call us if you have a problem

4.Download the Acumatica ERP software

  1. Click on Download as seen in step 2 or here

  2. Click on eg. Acumatica ERP 2020 R2 update 7. Take note of the full version number!

5. Click on Installation instructions as seen in step 2, and follow the instructions.

All the above work will not be wasted at all. When you subscribe to the Acumatica ERP software (Private Cloud Service) first, you will use this local exploration server and the installed Acumatica ERP software for the following purposes:
  1. Training
    1. You will take the full online training where you will do the course exercises on this local exploration server.
    2. You will load your data into a new Acumatica ERP database/site that you will install on this local exploration server, such as:
      1. Finance:
        1. chart of accounts
        2. Vendors
        3. Non stock items
      2. CRM
        1. Business Accounts/leads
        2. Customers and contacts
      3. Distribution
        1. Inventory: stock items
        2. Purchase orders, receipts and payments
        3. Sales orders, shipments, invoices and payments
      4. Etc.
  2. Testing
    1. You will test out transactions
  3. Piloting
    1. You will use this database as a pilot
  4. Production
    1. Although I recommend to have your production ERP in SAAS, you will still need your local exploration server for additional training of new features, for testing, for customizations and integrations.
